Masonry for Living Room, Kitchen, and Basement

Our stone walls will bring character to any room of your residence. The majority of our interior design masonry projects are done in entryways/foyers, kitchens, basements, and living rooms. For entryways, stone makes an outstanding first impression to anyone coming in your home. It works great as the lower wall on a staircase too.

In finished basements, veneer walls look great to spruce up your living space, whether it’s a den, office, or man cave. For a bar area, consider veneer for the base of the counter and behind the bar.

​In kitchens, veneer walls look great behind counters, and on the wall around the dinner table. Consider a fireplace in the kitchen, to bring an old farm house feel and an added heat source. 

Living rooms are where you spend hours on end, relaxing, entertaining, and spending time with your family. Enliven the room with some contemporary veneer to bring some more character. Have the wall go from floor to ceiling, or just do a half wall, with a shelf for pictures and decorations. 

Fireplaces

Fireplaces are not just great when sitting around the fire to relax, they bring a constant aesthetic beauty to a home. Fireplaces can be the focal point of a room and they nicely compliment the other tones in the room. If you have a city home and can’t have real wood fires, consider an electric insert, which look stunningly real and do have heat, to still bring the cozy feel of a fire.

Brick Pointing

In Manhattan and the Bronx, a majority of our buildings are built out of brick. It is important to keep up with the maintenance of the brick and mortar. Our masonry professionals can methodically examine each brick and fill in all of the disintegrating mortar, which naturally happens over time.

​If your home, apartment, or condo has brick showing on the interior, it generally doesn’t have to be monitored as often as the outside, but it should still be repointed over the course of decades.
